Mytilini is a very beautiful place to visit.
The city itself has very old roots and this in itself makes it quite exciting.
There are quite different options for food and for strolling.
People can enjoy visiting the cobbled street market of Ermou or just opt for strolling around in the harbour and pier (a very nice choice!).
My wife and I have been living just 10 minutes out of the city for the last 2 years and we are still enjoying going for coffee, food, shopping or many times just for our walk.

The new Archeological Museum was great.
The new Archeological Museum was great. The walk along the shore around the castle accessible and a good way to see what the locals were up to. Restaurants were traditional and good. The Municipal Art Gallery is worth a stop.

Stayed at The Blue Sea Hotel in a suite room.
Stayed at The Blue Sea Hotel in a suite room. The view from the balcony was breath taking, beds comfy, fridge cold. All great....only problem was getting my husband off the balcony. Stella on reception was so helpful. Ate at Kafenion O Ermis....gorgeous, throughly recommended. Only in Mytilene for one night ( make sure you visit the castle and Statue of Liberty) and it was enough.

The pitoresque town of Petra with a beautiful beach (but take care, the beach is rocky, you should have bathing shoes); wonderful landscape views with pine forests and olive groves; medieval monasteries in Metochi and Christos; Mytilini with its charming narrow streets and delicious food (the fried squid was the best meal I had in Greece).

Mytilini town is a great place to start your holiday on...
Mytilini town is a great place to start your holiday on Lesvos. Visit the castle which is amazing, walk through the tiny streets of the centre of town and see a variety of architecture. Take a walk around the castle to the west and take a swim in the nearby beach complete with all the facilities you need. view the manor houses to the south and north of the city. Enjoy a coffee or snack around the harbour at one of the many bars or cafes. A couple of days is more than enough and then hire a car and visit the many other magic places around Lesvos. Roads are very good, visit Petra, - with the best beaches in Lesvos, Molivos, Mantamados, Sigri, Eresos, Plomari, Gera and the many amazing monasteries, and don't miss the petrified forest. You'll need another 3-4 days
The hotel could not be more conveniet to the marina. It is right in the center of all the activity with the prime shopping street just behind the property.
Also, the staff was helpful with everything from renting a bike on the premises to giving directions to beaches and sights.
The free breakfast buffet every morning, filled with authentic Greek delicacies,]]p makes this hotel a great value.
And the air conditioning...if you visit in the summer, you will be very thankful for the air conditioning!
Excellent location RIGHT in the middle fo the city.
Extremely spacious balcony was a very welcome surprise, and the view of the night city and the mountain behind the belltower completed the experience. Also, from experience staying in Mytilene in the past, the house was VERY pleasantly surprised me with its lack of humidity, which has been an issue in other properties I've stayed at. The landlady was very pleasant, and getting greeted outside by friendly cats every day was a highlight.
It was easy enough to find, just off the harbour, but probably quieter than being directly on the harbour - no problems with noise. Bed was comfy enough, room had all the facilities you'd expect, I checked in at 23:00 and that wasn't a problem - keycode to get in, with instructions etc. It was very reasonably priced compared to other hotels I've stayed in nearby but did not feel any cheaper particularly, so very good value for money.
The location of the hotel was good, you can easily walk to the center through the main shopping street. Nice view on the castle. The room was very clean and good for it's value. The owner was kind and even though we arrived late he was there to welcome us. He provided us with a cold bottle of water and kept to the corona hygiene measurements.
Location is perfect.
Breakfast was very good with many selection of food. Especially the blonde lady was a wonderful host, she explained the food, helped for the daily tour info.
The room with the sea view was new and very good, you can find everything expected from a hotel room.
Everything was as we saw on Booking.
We stayed at the Lasia Hotel at the very beginning of our stay on Lesvos Island and went back before leaving. The location is very convenient, 700m from the airport, yet silent. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. They immediately solved whatever we asked for, even electrical and plumbing problems. Thank you!
The location is excellent. It is very easy to go to the town and the other beaches. The room has a balcony with a marveolus sea view. The content and the quality of the breakfast is satisfactory. The staff always welcoming.Planning to go to the same hotel next year for a longer duration of stay.
Loriet is absolutely a journey to experience. This old mansion takes you back to the past and makes you feel completely amazing. I love greek breakfast, cherry liqueur served in the entrance, very big pool, room. You can across the street and go for swimming, very close from the hotel.
Location is super convenient for exploring the town and also for ferry transportation (literally right next to the port). Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, and mine had a balcony with an amazing view of the harbor. Would definitely recommend!
The beds and bedsheets are clean and the room is very comfortable. The location is very good and very close to the beach. We loved the hotel and definetly visit next year. The reception was very kind and friendly. Never had a problem during the stay.
This is my third stay at this hotel and I will stay there again if I go back to Lesvos. Location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to ferry port, very close to restaurants, bars, rental car agencies. Staff is friendly and well informed. Breakfast is good.
The hotel is in a very central location. Welcoming and hotel service is sufficient. The breakfast is satisfying, but it can be more local products and varieties. The rooms facing the street have soundproof windows so you can sleep very well.
Breakfast not included. Room was newly renovated & everything worked well incl air conditioning & elevator. Managers helpful & friendly. Hotel is only 120 mts from ferry port and 200 mts from downtown shops.
Our hotel room was really comfortable. The technical guy solved the Wi-Fi issue in the room very quickly. The breakfast buffet was very generous reflecting different verities of local breakfast culture.
Everything was great! Spacious room and great location. The pool was definitely a highlight of the hotel stay. Great breakfast. Overall a great experience for a family holiday!
