The location is great, right in the centre. The personnel is fantastic. Breakfast was very tasty and without any plastic containers which I really appreciated. The room was very big.

The staff were all warm and friendly (met 3 of them!). I loved the in between spaces with tables and couches on every floor where guests could hang out. Breakfast was wonderful and the room while small and simple had everything you needed.

Good location in walking distance to the railway station and the city centre, yet very quiet when the windows were closed. Very good breakfast. Nice lobby bar with coffee and cake in the afternoon. Very helpful staff. Big room with a comfy bed. Nice old building.

Quiet, the room was clean and modern although I had to constantly watch my head in the attic. Coffee/tea making facilities, little shared kitchenette. Free parking and solid WIFI is always nice.

Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly.
Odense is really clean, super charming and bicycle friendly. Seems like every city corner is well taken care of. Modern buildings are very cool, too. H C Andersen's museum and the park being part of the whole composition is quite awesome! We spent two days walking around Odense, so I’d like to come back and explore what Fyn (the island) has to offer.

We were there for New Year and visited a restaurant called Værdsat. The 9 course menu, wines and semi-informal service were great.
We live just outside Odense and just needed a room to stay for the night due to Odense having atrocious public transport outside the city's postal codes and there being a "five wines" menu with the meal 8D.
Odense is a lovely town with lots of history, some of which is being (IMHO) vandalised by modern architecture, which some people will love. But it is a fairly sleepy town with only the HC Andersen attractions being of real note to outside visitors. But there is enough to do here for a weekend. Come in the summer though, as it can be a bit grey and grim in the cold season.
Parking can be a problem and overpriced shop leases (not enough competition and too much real estate in the hands of too few people who know each other) mean that the selection of shops is a bit limited with more empty leaseholds than I like to see.

Good location and parking was easy to find and beside the hotel. We could pay and organize the parking at reception (who were very helpful).
Excellent restaurant and a very good breakfast (good quality food).
Nice room with an excellent shower, good bed, nothing to complain about.

The location was wonderful.
The location was wonderful. In my first series of comments regarding our hotel, I forgot to mention that there is no television in the rooms. For me, that was not a problem, but it might be for others.
Odense is a charming town with a very walkable downtown and easy parking.

As the native home to Hans Christian Andersen, the city is built strongly around him. But not exclusively, with other attractions including the downtown Sankt Cnud Church and the many surrounding parks. The entire neighborhood around Andersen's birthplace has been preserved in the 19th century Danish style. I found the cuisine was top-notch at Grønttorvet and Marcantonio

I came for the Han Christian Andersen museums but Odense is charming on its own. Very walkable, safe, clean and friendly. The HCA museum far exceeded my expectations; indescribably incredible. I appreciate Odense even more after visiting Copenhagen next. I didn’t research or do well with restaurants. I’m so glad I ended the stay with a visit to Egeskov Castle.
This is a truly lovely, cosy hotel - the room we were staying in was very nicely decorated. It was also very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
There is also an access to the back garden, which is really nice
The breakfast was delicious, with a lot of different products to choose from.
The hotel is very close to the city center and is located in a very picturesque residential area, which was very calm
It might seem a bit expensive at first glance but it is definitely worth it!
What a beautiful place. Really quiet and peaceful and a lovely rest from all the driving we have been doing. Fully stocked kitchen was much appreciated and everything modern and spotlessly clean. A few minutes walk to a supermarket and the bus into Odense which is a lovely city. Our only regret was that we hadn’t booked an extra day here for a longer relax. A perfect haven and would more than happily stay again
I love that the property had outside activities to draw you more outside rather staying in the actual room. It was very clean. I liked playing with my children on the property as well since there was a nice size field out back. Definitely would recommend to another family if ever going to Denmark. Also great location in Odense as well in Denmark I traveled to LEGOLAND & Copenhagen while I stayed.
It's old hotel with old furniture. Everything in hotel is like from the eighties. Problem is that it is not very clean, beds are not good, and the bathroom looks bad. Parking is very tight, but there is a huge public parking very near (and it is not cheap). Breakfast is great thou and city center is very near. But, Odense is like fairy tail city, and this hotel follows a bit that story.
We enjoyed our stay at the Knudsens Gaard- all staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and roomy. The bathroom was comfortable and the shower was warm and very nice. The breakfast was good although not a large selection of choices - both warm and cold foods. Wi-Fi worked fine and the hotel was good value and had an interesting history.
The hotel's location is right in the city center. All important places are within walking distance. Check-in was smooth and without any problems. The hotel and rooms were clean. The rooms were spacious. There were 3 power outlets near each bed, which is sufficient for charging mobile devices. Breakfast was plentiful and good.
Great conditions, great location. Close to Odense Station, City Center, shop. Spacious enough room (towels and linen provided), well equipped kitchen. Toillet and bathroom (hair dryer included) separated from room, but it wasn't a problem. I didn't see the owner, but check-in and check-out were well explained.
- Nice breakfast, with great selection of breads.
- Location was perfect, right next to the train station and very close to the city center.
- The hotel was neat and clean and easy to navigate.
- The room was quiet and the hotel in general were in a quiet neighborhood.
Location at the very heart of Odense, very helpful and kind staff at hotel Nattergalen, very clean, very good beds, well equipped kitchen and dining table for 8 guests (although we did not do any cooking or in-house dining), available tea and coffee.
We chose Hotel Odense because of it's connection to the sports arena where we watched the Danish Open Badminton Tournament over 6 days. The hotel provided the perfect base and excelled in terms of breakfast and restaurant options.
It's s cute little house enough for a family of 3-4. Very close to city center and attractions. Also the host was very kind and communicating promptly. Will definitely choose again when we visit Odense.
Beautiful and new hotel in the city center. We had programs during the evening, and we needed to be close to it. The location was very good. The breakfast was very good. It is a pretty hotel.
A hotel is located just outside the train station, it is also very close to the city center, cozy cafes and restaurants. Staff was really nice and helpful. There is an elevator in the hotel.
The hotel is at a great location, close to restaurants and city center and all the tourist attractions. The breakfast is also really good. Staff is friendly and helpful. My stay was perfect.
It is a good option with very nice staff. However, I had ended up paying a premium as the hotel was almost booked out so considering what I paid and what I got, it is hard to be satisfied.
Great location, 5 minutes walk from the old city centre. Coffee/Tea served throughout the whole day. Breakfast very nice.
Parking place provided by the hotel.
Definetely the staff and the old stylish hotel. The breakfast was also quite good and they provided me with gluten free and lactose free food. Tip top!
